The Challenge ​

Daman sought to strengthen its bench- strength by preparing high-potential individual contributors, supervisors and team leaders to take on next-level roles through a development driven incubator that enhances the talent’s self-awareness, individual effectiveness, personal impact and influence. ​

The Solution ​

In 2014, Propel International created a bespoke Leadership Development Programme for Daman, which was delivered five years in a row before being revamped in 2019, in a pursuit to move towards experiential based learning.

​Unique talent acceleration programmes at two levels were conceived, namely; the Emerging Talent Programme (ETP) for individual contributors and the Talent Acceleration programme. (TAP) for team leaders and supervisors, that integrated pre and post programme assessment centres with agile learning, matrix collaboration and group coaching.
​

The Outcome

The impact of the leadership development programmes have been two-fold:
1- Stronger leadership pipeline. Previous participants have moved on to more senior roles within the organisation, ultimately strengthening Daman’s leadership pipeline.

2- Increased retention and better succession planning. High potential individuals remain with the company for longer and exhibit strong engagement and commitment than before. In addition,  Daman has access to robust talent data which resulted in enhanced organisational success planning.
