PROPEL INTERNATIONAL IN THE NEWS

More specifically, attendees were asked to complete the personality tool prior to arriving at the event and were provided with their type in the form of four type cards when they arrived at the event. During breaks they were asked to identify attendees with different personality types to their own, and were then invited to ask them a set of questions. The aim was to facilitate a structured networking session, increase the attendees' knowledge of personality types while also increasing their self-awareness.
The event was such a success that TEDx invited Propel to run the activity again. Propel was also offered the opportunity to run a similar event for an Iranian Education Forum later on this year. In addition, Propel set a new nationwide standard as personality-based questionnaires are now trending at conferences and networking sessions across Iran. |

Alinma Bank chose Propel to lead the design and implementation of their Succession Assessment & Development Centre (ADC) programme. In an increasingly competitive marketplace, Alinma Bank recognised the need to look at the strength of its internal leadership pipeline and succession plan.
Propel helped Alinma Bank to design their Leadership Competency Framework and implemented an intensive 2-day business simulation event to realistically replicate the challenges faced by their leaders. Using Propel’s cutting edge Talent Portal, 360° Feedback was used to provide a complementary measure of Alinma’s leadership competencies from a variety of perspectives. Following the assessment, participants received in-depth feedback reports, individual coaching, and support with personal and career planning.
“Through the design of an innovative yet best-practice assessment and development process, we now have the objective information we need to effectively build our leadership pipeline and ensure business continuity for critical roles. The value of the talent data resulting from the ADC programme cannot be overstated.”

360° Feedback is a powerful tool used to help individuals develop their self-awareness by anonymously gathering constructive feedback against standardised competencies from a wide range of stakeholders.
So what? Individuals can develop the skills required to make them more effective in their roles. This benefits both them and their employers.
How does it work? Propel offers off-the-shelf and customised 360° Feedback surveys with user-friendly reports. The design of the survey is a straightforward process, and administering it to many individuals (we are talking thousands) is even quicker and easier. As many of our clients operate internationally, the Propel team is constantly updating the tool with new languages. Farsi is our latest addition to support our clients’ expansion into the Iranian market and simplified Chinese is coming very soon.

I'M A PROUD PROPELLER
Meet Hannah Matta Tell us about you
My name is Hannah Matta, I am a Chartered Business Psychologist, born in the UK, and I lead the consulting team for Propel. I relocated to Dubai a couple of years ago and am now fast approaching my first anniversary with Propel. I am passionate about advancing diversity in organisations and emphasising the link between mindset and behaviour. |
What did you do before?
In the UK I had a mix of in-house and external consulting roles with companies such as PwC, Harrods, a London Local Government Authority and Arup. Since arriving in Dubai I’ve been heavily involved with a transformational change programme for Dubai Airports aligning people, processes and technology for operational efficiency.
What keeps you busy at the moment?
Over the past few months I have had the pleasure of working with MetLife to refresh the attraction and selection strategy for their annual intake of MBA graduates. I’ve also been continuing the change journey with Dubai Airports, which has been very rewarding. As a team, we have just returned from an exciting trip to New York, where we conducted a series of development centres to identify future talent and increase leadership bench strength.
Enjoying it?
Very much so! I love working with the team, it feels like a family and I am enjoying the variety of projects that I’m working on. I relish working across such diverse cultures and regions. I’m particularly energised by seeing individuals and the organisation grow and evolve.
Anything quirky you want to share?
I completed my yoga teacher training in Costa Rica last year and I am an advanced PADI scuba diver.
