The Challenge Riyad Bank wanted to introduce a structured and objective assessment programme as part of its talent acquisition process. The goal was to accurately and fairly evaluate the capability and potential of job applications against a set of critical behaviours for on-the-job success. Different batteries of psychometric instruments were required depending on the seniority level of the job applicants whilst bespoke reporting outputs were designed based on various tools combinations.
The Solution The Propel Talent Portal afforded Riyad Bank’s Talent Acquisition team access to all major psychometric test instruments and the creation of blended tools solutions that were customised per job level. Fully bespoke reports with specified role, ability and behavioural metrics important for selection decisions were also designed as co-creation pieces between Propel International and Riyad Bank’s Talent Acquisition stakeholders.
The OutcomeRiyad Bank’s customised talent portal has facilitated over 2,000 individual assessments, with around 800 of these being conducted by the talent acquisition team evaluating the suitability of prospective talents. Riyad Bank also received critical information around candidates’ behaviour style, approach, and cognitive ability. This talent data allows the business to make more evidence-based decisions and preparing the candidates with appropriate developmental information.
